World Yacht, a hospitality company in New York City is seeking a seasoned Director of Sales and Marketing to provide both strategic and tactical leadership to the sales and marketing team.
The Director of Sales & Marketing is responsible for the management of the company's sales and marketing strategies, and the development of new business. You will be responsible for providing leadership to the day-to-day operations of the sales and marketing department, while maintaining focus on the company's strategic goals; establishing performance goals for all sales and marketing staff, monitoring performance on a continual basis; maximizing profitability for the company and outstanding quality service for the customers; and developing, maintaining and implementing creative packages to fill identified needs in all markets.
Job Requirements
The ideal candidate would be organized, detail-oriented; enjoy working in a team environment and leading and developing associates. The individual must possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities and be able to demonstrate that he or she can perform the essential functions of the job:
A minimum of 10 years of hospitality sales experience in Hotels or Catering
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Knowledge of budgetary analysis capabilities
Extensive market and industry knowledge and awareness of current and future market trends
Extensive knowledge of revenue management
Ability to supervise, train and motivate staff
Ability to analyze data and establish appropriate action plans
Bachelor's degree
