Job Description
The Technical Director will lead and direct the R&D team to develop innovative products for the Consumer Adhesives group. This position will also be responsible for regulatory and packaging/engineering.
Essential Duties:
1. Modify existing products for performance enhancement.
2. Develop new products to meet lower VOC requirements.
3. Alter/develop mixing procedures to reduce cycle time, meet safety requirements, improve product quality and/or approve alternate raw materials.
4. Coordinate New Product Group to provide guidelines and generate test data for the NPI Process.
5. Develop quality control procedures for new products and new sources.
6. Guide technical service employees in handling customer calls related to proper product use and unusual applications.
7. Encourage packaging innovations to help reduce cost and energy.
8. Stay abreast of US and Canadian regulations.

*Experience in construction adhesives, sealants, and tapes.
