Role Summary/Purpose
The District Sales Manager will be responsible for prospecting, proposing, and closing sales to new and existing customers in the geographic territory assigned (Region 3, District 4: Virginia). In this role you will provide field-based support to National and Independent Dealers / Integrators through regular on-site sales calls and telephone contact.
Essential Responsibilities
Provide reports, sales projections, and other documentation as requested; communicate Dealer / Integrator needs to appropriate departments within the company and actively participate in the resolution of any customer problems
Make effective sales calls to existing or prospective customers and grow territory sales volumes through channel partners and wholesale distribution; maintain appropriate records documenting customer interaction
Coordinate with Distribution Managers, Sales Engineers and National Account Managers to optimize the sales opportunities
Support and drive business growth through dealers, channel partners and end user opportunities
Evaluate existing and potential customers and concentrate major selling effort on those customers that represent the greatest opportunity for sales volume growth
Create quarterly and annual action plans based on opportunities identified; actively support sales and technical training needs of existing customers; investigate customer complaints and make recommendations to management for settlement
Interface with and utilize all levels of corporate personnel to promote sales and customer satisfaction; maintain proficiency on all sales and technical aspects of products; obtain current information from customers regarding pricing, products, promotions, etc.
Convey significant developments to management; participate in industry association meetings and trade shows as appropriate; prepare annual sales forecasts; perform related duties as requested
Qualifications/Requirements
Bachelor’s degree OR high school diploma/GED and a minimum of 4 years industry experienceMinimum 5 years experience in electronics with IT and/or Security equipment Minimum 5 years experience Strong Technical background in Enterprise level access control and video interaction applications Minimum 2 years experience in selling Electronic Security equipment through dealers and channel partners ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:Ability and availability to travel up to 70% of the timePossess a clean driving recordAble and willing to work out of a home office in the territory (Virginia)
