E-COMMERCE WEBSPHERE Developer RETAIL Direct Hire Houston, TX
Will design, develop and implement Websphere and E-commerce software applications with the following skill set:
3-5+ years of E-commerce web experience.
3+ years of web services experience

In depth retail experience; design/development of shopping cart components.
Experience with Commerce Catalog and Product module design and development
Websphere Commerce Suite 5.6, 6.X; Websphere Application Server 6 (UNIX)
Websphere Application Developer 6.X; Web services, SOAP and MQ Series
Java; Struts; J2EE; EJB; Websphere; HTML; Servlet; JSP; Eclipse; Java Patterns; JavaScript; AJAX (DWR & Dojo toolkit); Apache jmeter; Apache Ant
Java/J2EE/Struts software; XML, XSL, UNIX, Oracle 8i, Oracle 9i
Will need defect and change tracking tools database development, administration and version control tools.
Other duties include:
Assist with the development and deployment of new applications; implement new vendor software packages, and/or enhancements to existing applications throughout the enterprise.
Research and make recommendations on software products and services in support of procurement and development efforts.
Coordinate feasibility studies for software and system products under consideration for purchase, and give advice based on findings.
Ensure that any new software integration into company systems meets functional requirements, system compliance, and interface specifications.

Job Requirements

Four-year college degree.
3-5+ years direct experience in Websphere E-commerce development and/or programming design and systems management on multiple technology platforms
5-8+ years direct experience in software development and/or programming design and systems management on multiple technology platforms
Direct, hands-on experience with automated software and system management tools.
Strong knowledge of system and software quality assurance best practices and methodologies.
Technically fluent in several programming languages
Good project management skills and/or substantial exposure to project-based work structures, project lifecycle models, etc.
Knowledge of database design and file management techniques.
Knowledge of network hardware, protocols, and standards
Excellent understanding of the organizations goals and objectives.
Knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws
Knowledge of web services and MQ Series.
