The EDI Specialist's role is to develop, coordinate, implement, communicate and support the Company�s Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) requirements and systems. This individual is responsible for ensuring that EDI-related production and procedures are maintained and properly executed. The candidate will analyze and create proposals on approach along with creating technical specifications for all work. Candidate will also conduct unit and system testing along with writing code where needed to integrate with back-end systems. The candidate will work with IT staff, end users and trading partners to support all business, technical, and functional needs relating to the EXTOL EDI Integrator package.
Position Responsibilities
Provides technical leadership on all new and existing application initiatives related to or involving EDI. Primary support for all EDI related needs and inquiries
Develop and manage all aspects of the EDI system, including but not limited to � Inbound and outbound transactions � Daily reconciliation/troubleshooting of all transaction sets � Set-up new EDI communications and maintain existing EDI communications � Code back-end systems integrations processes � Document and maintain EDI standards and the trading partner guide � Identify potential EDI process efficiency improvements and implement changes � Perform the role of a systems administrator for EDI Inegrator software � Work with EXTOL to schedule and implement system upgrades and/or software fixes as required. � Prepare project schedules/Status identifying resources and timelines for systems assigned projects.

Job Requirements
Three (5) years experience with EDI packages. Five (5) years coding experience on the AS400/iSeries platform (RPG or COBOL) Comptent on the use of the EXTOL Integrator package. B.S. Degree in Computer Science or related field a plus. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, PowerPoint and Excel).
