Job Description
Kelly Engineering Resources is currently seeking a NDT Inspector for a Direct Hire position. This position will be located in Seattle WA. In this position you will be responsible for performing liquid penetrant non-destructive inspection of precision manufactured parts and ensuring customers specified requirements are met. Duties and Responsibilities: Perform routine penetrant systems checks. Maintain system and materials logs. Prices parts in accordance with approved techniques. Inspect and evaluate parts in accordance with customer specified acceptance criteria. Complete inspection reports identifying and describing non-confirming product. Maintain on-hand material quantity levels. Maintain material certification evidence. Ensure proper equipment calibration is maintained. Develop new testing techniques as required. Supervise Level I personnel when required. Education/Experience: High school diploma or GED, graduate of liquid penetrant inspection NDT school ( 32 hours minimum formal classroom training), 400 hours minimum hands-on experience, previous experience utilizing Type I ( fluorescent) water wash and solvent removable penetrant systems. Familiarity with densioning, tolerances, and blueprint reading. Previous Level II certification in accordance with NAS-410 preferred. Certificates and Licenses: ASNT certification is a plus but internal certification is required Physical Demands: Ability to pass a Jaeger J-2 or equivalent vision exam in at least one eye, either natural or corrected. While performing this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, stand, walk, use hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, talk and hear.
