Job Description
The Employee Relations Coordinator is the entry-level position in the Human Resources department. The ER Coordinator will support the Employee Relations VP, Director & Compensation Manager providing administrative support on a variety of daily activities including the processing of all Personnel Action Forms for new hires, separations, transfers and various other employee status changes via PeopleSoft (HRMS system), maintenance of all employee personnel records/files, completing employment verifications, responding to employee questions, assisting managers within the various businesses with HR policy and processes questions, writing queries in PeopleSoft, generating annual review paperwork and notifications, participating in new hire orientation, assisting employees with questions/issues regarding payroll, benefits and ER/HR processes and procedures. Assist with daily phone coverage within the Corporate HR department. Assist with special projects as needed.
The Senior Employee Relations Coordinator is the next step within the Employee Relations job family and functions at a higher level than the ER Coordinator. In addition, the Senior ER Coordinator works more independently and proactively, is more visible to the business and assists the HR team in handling more challenging and less routine issues/projects.
Job Requirements
Employee Relations Coordinator: The candidate must have a minimum of 2 plus years of administrative experience (preferably in an HR environment). Candidate must possess the ability to handle various employee issues in a confidential and sensitive manner. Must have advanced level PC skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), Must possess excellent administrative and interpersonal skills as well as strong verbal/written skills and must be attentive to detail. The candidate needs to have good platform skills. AS/BS degree or equivalent work experience in Human Resources is preferred.
Senior Employee Relations Coordinator: The candidate must have a minimum of 2 years experience in a Human Resources Coordinator position (Employee Relations, Staffing, HRMS, Compensation or Benefits) and possess a solid background and understanding of PeopleSoft.
