Job Description
We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Employee Relations Specialist to join our Employee Relations/Compliance team. The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of experience as an attorney practicing employment law and 1 to 2 additional years working in an employee relations role in a fast paced corporate environment. The position requires a strong understanding of US federal, state and local employment laws.
The ER Specialist will need to be able to assess and mitigate risk to the Company in connection with employment related practices and procedures and be comfortable providing advice and counsel in an HR advisory role.
Responsibilities will also include:
conducting and managing internal investigations assisting in the development and implementation of new strategies in response to changing internal and external conditions, as well as the external legal/regulatory landscape ensuring affirmative action compliance participating in and/or leading special projects and initiatives, some of which may be global in scope, including developing cross regional policies and procedures.
Qualifications: Juris Doctorate Degree Minimum of 3 years experience as a lawyer in an employment law practice 1 to 2 additional years of HR experience as an Employee Relations Specialist Strong working knowledge of federal, state and local employment laws Excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills Superior problem solving abilities, solid judgment, and influencing skills High level of initiative and attention to detail Strong multi-tasking skills and ability to manage shifting priorities and workload requirements
