Watch Officer/Intelligence Engineer to support the Intelligence Requirements Division â€" Western Regional Office (MDA/DOSI-West) on the JRDC program at Schriever AFB, CO.
Watch Officer/Intelligence Engineer to perform Watch Officer crew duties on a 24/7 watch schedule at the Missile Defense Agency’s (MDA) Intelligence Watch Center located in the MDIOC. Candidate is required to perform all-source analysis of intelligence information on world-wide ballistic missile, space launch vehicle, and other threat systems of interest to MDA. Candidate is required to maintain an in-depth knowledge of foreign ballistic missile systems and to utilize classified and open source automated equipment to research, prepare and disseminate a wide variety of intelligence products. The Watch Officer must be responsive to time critical, fast turn requirements and requests for information (RFI) from a multitude of customers and will be required to coordinate and interact with national intelligence agencies and Combatant Commander intelligence centers. He/she will be required to brief flag-level personnel on a regular basis and may be required to conduct a limited amount of travel in support of the DOSI-West mission. THIS POSITION REQUIRES SHIFT WORK, INCLUDING NIGHT WORK AND WORK ON WEEKENDS AND HOLIDAYS.
Minimum Requirements: Must currently possess, or be eligible for a Top Secret clearance with access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI). Must have a minimum of 8 years previous experience as an intelligence analyst and/or Watch Officer. Must be familiar with Intelligence Community agencies, products and systems, and must be familiar with SIPRNET and JWICS systems, programs, procedure. Must understand how to classify, mark, protect, store and currier classified information. Must be able to represent DOSI-West at a variety of meetings, conferences, and technical interchange meetings and events, and must be able to brief highly technical intelligence information to flag-level audiences. Must have outstanding writing, critical thinking and briefing skills. Attention to detail and the ability to convey ideas and information clearly and concisely is also required. Ability to work with little or no direct supervision is a must.
Preferred Requirements: Prior NORAD/NORTHCOM, USSPACECOM or STRATCOM intelligence experience is highly desirable. Prior intelligence or technical experience, including knowledge of foreign ballistic missile systems, Indications and Warning, training, exercises, and scenario development, a definite plus.
