TOOLING ENGINEER Andersen Corporation / Custom Pultrusions, Inc.
Custom Pultrusions, Inc., an Andersen Corporation subsidiary, is a world-class pultrusions company with particular expertise in thin-wall technology and complex shapes. Founded in 1969, the company has a broad expertise in complex, pre-form tooling and the most experienced staff of design engineers in the industry. Along with 16 pultrusion lines and 97,000 sq. ft. of office and manufacturing space on a 13-acre campus in Aurora, OH, CPI produces more than 30 million pultruded linear feet of product annually.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provides customers with advanced fabrication capabilities that includes 11 custom-designed, computer-controlled fabrication machines, two nine-axis robotic routing machines and inline cutting and drilling machines.
Design dies and pre-form tooling for pultrusion processing in the AutoCad Inventor environment. Take customer requests from concept to execution. Work with vendors, manufacturing, and maintenance to oversee tooling programs from initialization to production launch.
Job Requirements
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
•Associates Degree in an Engineering field, B.S. Mechanical Engineering preferred.
•5 years experience designing dies and molds in the AutoCad Inventor environment.
•Track record of creative design ideas.
•Experience managing vendors and maintenance/machine shop personnel to execute tooling fabrication.
•Works well with manufacturing personnel.
•Experience with pultrusion or other reinforced plastics manufacturing a plus.
