We have a need for a an Engineer Manager to join our team in either Seattle,WA or Portland, OR on a full time basis.
Job Description:
- Working as a part of our A&E Customer Solutions team, the Engineering Manager will assist the National Director of A&E Services in the development of a new A&E Organization.
- Looking for Structural Engineer with PE license needed to develop business opportunities and evaluate wireless towers and building structures.
- Ideal candidate will have experience doing tower structural analysis with RISA product, doing rooftop evaluations and designs, and be able to manage client expectations.
- This will require experience in the establishment of policies, procedures, training programs, evaluation of production tools and equipment and management of human resources.
- This position will be responsible for New site build CD’s; collocation on existing towers, Revised CD’s/ lease exhibits; Assisting with Zoning and Regulatory Process; and Structural analysis.
- Completes a variety of architectural and civil assignments such as drawings, specifications, and other materials suitable for procurement and construction purposes, utilizing 2D and 3D CAE/CAD, as applicable.
- Prepares standard engineering, computations, material quality takeoffs, estimates, and designs.
- Reviews supplier drawing submittal and assists in performing technical bid analysis.
- Prepares and issues specifications, data sheets, and other construction documents, assists in development and maintenance libraries of CAD standards, details under the supervision of an Architect/Engineer manager. Participates and coordinates pre-construction site walks and development of redline drawings.
Job Requirements
Required Skills:
- Technical background with experience with CAD and wireless/tower construction, expert proficiency using AutoCAD
- Experience in development of multi-site rollout programs requiring rapid production of construction documents
- Use of scheduling software (i.e. MS Project, Suretrak, etc.)
- Use of 3D Modeling Software(i.e. Visio, Sketchup, etc.
- Should be proficient in Microsoft Office Applications
- Experience in managing consultants and production staff
- Experience with design methodologies
- Update and reload as-builts to maintain facilities database in AutoCAD environment.
- Experience with telecommunications networks
- Oversee work activities of installation, site survey, trouble call and construction coordination of commercial customers for Goodman Networks
- Become subject matter expert on permitting and construction processes in areas where assigned projects.
- Knowledge and understanding of the drawings and specifications, general contract and subcontract documents, materials, means and methods
- Coordinate with other departments to effectively handle customer concerns, communicate projects and other operational issues.
- Foster communication, collaboration and teamwork within and across organization boundaries; keep employees informed.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
