Belcan TechServices is currently searching for an experienced Engineering Manager for a client. The ideal candidate will have proven experience as an Engineering Manager or Supervisor in developing engineers, strong leadership skills, and strong improvement and process orientation.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Manage the Product Development Process
- Manage Product Engineering
- Manage the Quality Assurance Function
- Drive Value Engineering Projects
- Support Manufacturing Cost Reduction initiatives
- Manage Corporate Quality Systems (ISO 9001:2000, DoD)
- Provide engineering support to sales
- Provide technical review for marketing collateral
- Develop standard procedures/processes
Job Requirements
Skills and Qualifications Desired:
- Mechanical Engineering Degree (masters / PE preferred)
- Demonstrated experience as an engineering supervisor / manager
- Experience with the Stage-Gate process
- Experience with lean process/product development
- Strong manufacturing background
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- In depth knowledge of metallurgy, heat treating, machining, surface treatments
