ENGINEERING SERVICES MANAGER

Position Responsibilities:

Provide technical engineering services at a manufacturing facility;

Review and audit mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electronic system operations, processes and procedures;

Provide predictive and preventive maintenance schedules;

Manage operating budget for department and facility capital projects;

Review existing Standard Operating Procedures and provide suggested revisions and/or new operating procedures;

Perform analysis of equipment and processes to assure quality and production standards;

Coordinate activities relating to the raw material storage and handling, fire protection, environmental control, power delivery and  distribution systems;

Plan, manage and supervise for equipment installation and rebuild projects;

Prepare specifications on contract bids for services and equipment relating to projects;

Design layouts for systems and processes utilizing the latest reference and concepts;

Purchase parts and equipment to assure continuous operation of equipment and installation projects;

Provide support and direction for good manufacturing, housekeeping and safety standards;

Provide technical training related to maintenance, process systems and safety practices;

Supervise first line supervisors and controls activities of skilled trades and general laborers; and

Job Requirements

4 year degree from accredited university/college in Engineering or equivalent experience;

Minimum 5-7 years of experience as a Engineering Services Manager, Facilities Manager,
Maintenance Manager or related position within a manufacturing environment;

Requires specific knowledge of and experience in large compressor functionality and high speed cooling fans. 

Familiarity with a variety of engineering and maintenance concepts, practices and procedures;

Exercise independent judgment, prioritize effectively to meet rigorous demands;

Excellent communication and presentation skills and the ability to communicate effectively with vendors; and with all levels within the organization;

Effective problem solving skills;

Ability to identify issues and recommend appropriate actions;

Strong leadership and process improvement skills;

Strong computer skills and demonstrated ability to apply computer technology to business processes.
