Job Description

Account Executives are the lifeblood of the company, sharing our exclusively designed services with over 36,000 small business clients throughout the U.S. Cbeyond is sure to be in a location near you, with a presence in 13 major metropolitan areas throughout the U.S., and expanding at the rate of 2-3 markets each year. Communications solutions offered range from 30 productivity-enhancing applications including local, long-distance, and Internet packages to voicemail, email, mobile, BlackBerry®, anytime account management, and more.

Job Description:

  • Use our tested Sales Activity Model, sales presentations, Team Lead, Sales Manager, among other tools and resources available, to identify leads, qualify and sell Cbeyond’s services
  • Qualify and follow up on leads via phone to secure 2-3 appointments daily, (solely B2B, business to business, sales)
  • Sell telecommunication tools to small business owners in face to face scheduled meetings
  • Cold call between 10:15 and 5:00 when not in client meetings to generate new sales opportunities
  • Network diligently, creating business relationships, through multiple efforts including cold calling, chamber attendance, networking (lead) groups, agents, and other appropriate methods, (not your 9 to 5 job)
  • Turn prospective leads into signed contracts, continuing to sell communication solutions to your existing base of customers while steadily growing a pipeline of new clients for future sales
  • Assist, if needed in client problem resolution ensuring the highest in client satisfaction


Job Requirements

Our most successful representatives come from a wide and diverse background (including sorority, fraternity, college clubs and association leadership positions, entrepreneurs (with 1-2 years experience while in school), competitive college team athletics, restaurant servers, retail associates, and more.)  All have the common denominators indicated below.

 

  • Ability to work a demanding, primarily self-directed, work schedule
  • Excellent verbal and strong listening communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to set and achieve (if not exceed) one’s goals
  • Persuasive, tactful, and professional
  • Confident, extroverted, and driven with a competitive spirit
  • Thrives in working outside the office (and not stuck at a desk all day)
  • Strong organization and time management skills
  • Demonstrates only the highest personal and ethical standards
  • Working knowledge of computers and personal communication devices
  • A valid state driver’s license, a satisfactory driving record and reliable transportation.
  • High School diploma or equivalent required, College degree desired

 

Additionally, possession of the following knowledge, skills or abilities is desired: 

  • Strong written communication skills
  • Some outside sale experience desired such as copier sales, office supplies, or any other lead generation sale that requires extensive cold calling
