JECSI is a mid-sized company of environmental consultants and engineers and technical, scientific, and business software application developers and engineers. JECSI provides environmental, health and safety services to large industrial companies. We also develop applications for large enterprises to help manage environmental, health & safety, and quality systems.
The office is located 100 yards from the waterfront and is walking distance to Church St. and the Burlington Square mall.
Environmental Compliance Specialist
JECSI has immediate openings for an Environmental Compliance Specialist with 1 - 3 years experience. Candidates must have experience with environmental compliance and permitting and possess strong technical writing skills.
Position Responsibilities:
- Assisting clients in complying with local, regional, state, and federal regulations for various programs.
- Preparation and management of state, federal and international hazardous waste permitting projects.
- Management of hazardous waste permitting projects.
- Site visits.
- Completing environmental reports and other technical documents.
Salary is dependent upon experience and qualifications. The salary range for the positions is $35,000 to $50,000, depending on qualifications.

Job Requirements

A bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Geology, Chemistry, Biology, or related field is required.

The ability to interact with many different types of individuals, including executives, scientists, engineers, and other business professionals.

Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate ideas and properly describe problems and solutions.

Excellent time management and organizational skills.

Must be a self-starter with the ability to work independently and in a team environment.

Position will require 10% field work and 90% office work/report preparation.

Fluency in multiple languages is preferred.
