Medical Center of Lewisville - Lewisville Position Summary: Under the direction of the Environmental Services Director and/or the Supervisor, Environmental Service Technician I is responsible for removal of soiled linen and trash from all areas of the hospital. He/she performs a variety of routine functions as assigned, to maintain a sanitary, attractive and orderly condition throughout all areas of the hospital.
Job Requirements
Minimum Position Requirements: 1. Education a. High school degree or equivalent preferred. b. Environmental Services training helpful. c. Must be able to read signs, labels and notices. d. Must be able to speak, read and understand English. Existing employees as of revision date have twelve (12) months to attain this requirement. 2. Experience a. Prior Environmental Services experience preferred, but not necessary. 3. Special Qualifications: a. Ability to communicate effectively. b. Integrity to work with confidential information. c. Ability to follow established cleaning procedures. d. Ability to work independently. e. Ability to handle stress. f. Must possess good interpersonal skills. g. Must be committed to quality service and patient care. h. Ability to anticipate needs of the patients and employees. i. Ability to work around patients during emotional periods. j. Ability to demonstrate flexibility in response to unexpected needs of the department.
