Job Description

CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Healthcare System in San Antonio, TX is a five hospital system with over 1,000 beds, located in the beautiful town of New Braunfels, Texas.  Encompassing over 420,000 square feet and 135 beds, the New Braunfels facility provides the following services:  Birthing Services, Bone Density Imaging, Cardiac Cath/Special Procedures Lab, Computed Tomography (CT) Imaging, Digital Mammography, Emergency Services, Intensive Care Unit (ICU), Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), Pastoral Care, Pre Surgical Education Services - PREP Program, Sports and Fitness Rehabilitation, and Wound Care. 
 
ARAMARK has served at CHRISTUS Santa Rosa for over five years and has been recognized within ARAMARK, Healthcare for having a very strong, performance-based client relationship.  We provide multiple support services including EVS, POM, Food & Nutrition, Transportation, and Call Center.  We currently employee over 500 employees within our CHRISTUS Santa Rosa system.   We are seeking an Operation Manager for the 2nd Shift.  The selected individual for this position will be responsible for all operational, quality and service activities related to custodial, housekeeping and linen distribution at our New Braunfels location. 

 
The position requires the ability to:  (1) communicate directly with primary and secondary clients on a daily basis, (2) coordinate and direct departmental operational activities, including employees and contract labor/services in a manner that utilizes resources, materials and equipment with fiscal integrity and efficiency, (3) develop trust in departmental leadership and commitment to work among a diverse workforce, (4) exceed measurable organizational outcomes through the engagement and performance of others, (5) contribute to the development and implementation of strategies to enhance and improve employee and patient satisfaction within the organization, (6) perform independently and within work teams (7) tour and inspect the facility daily to ensure excellent execution of EVS service and quality, paying close attention to details, (8) oversee the training, development, and retention of employees, and (9) participate in account and system leadership activities to strengthen the ARAMARK onsite team and client partnership.

Job Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of Environmental Services (EVS) management experience.
• Associate's Degree or equivalent.  Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• Demonstrate friendly, efficient, positive customer service toward customers, clients and team members.
• Responsive to multiple client needs.
• Strong communication (listening, verbal and written) skills.
• Ability to coach, lead and develop others.
• Word processing and spreadsheet use.
• Ability to learn new computer programs.
• Working knowledge, or the ability to quickly learn, regulatory and compliance guidelines that relate to Environmental Services in the healthcare/hospital setting.
