Job Description
Executive Assistant to the CEO
The Executive Assistant (EA) reports to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO). The primary responsibility of the EA is to provide regular administrative and clerical support to the CEO. The EA prepares correspondence, co-ordinates mailings and meetings and provides filing services. The EA is vital to creating and maintaining a healthy rapport with Board Members, senior staff and the community.
Key Roles:
• Assist CEO as needed.
• Assist CEO with building community relationships such as local colleges, Foundations, Workforce Agencies, businesses.
• Assist with BGCBC’s website development.
• Prepare correspondence as directed by the CEO.
• Co-ordinate notification and reminders for Corporate Board meetings and Committee meetings.
• Assist in proofing of documents and key materials.
• Maintain accurate contact information for Board.
• Coordinate logistical and travel arrangements, prepare agendas and complete meeting summaries as directed
Relationships:
• Internal: Maintain close daily contact with Administrative staff particularly the Chief Administrative Officer, Chief Development Officer, Chief Financial Officer and Director of Human Resources.
• External: Maintain contact with appropriate Board Members regarding appointments and scheduling of meetings.
• Maintain healthy rapport with community agencies and leaders.

Job Requirements
Qualification requirements:
• Knowledge: Demonstrated knowledge of principles related to technology, including computer operations, word processing with a high degree of accuracy, good grammar, strong customer service skills and strong attention to details.
• Education: College degree required
• Experience: Minimum of three years administrative support experience in an office environment required.
Environmental and working conditions:
• The majority of work will be conducted in an office setting.
Physical and mental requirements:
• Demonstrated ability to:
o Exchange ideas, facts and information clearly and concisely in all communications.
o Sit for four-plus hours per day. Standing and bending are necessary to this role
o See and hear and successfully communicate-including ability to speak, write and read with comprehension
