Job Description

Job Title: Gel Cap Extruder Operator

Length of Assignment: Temp to Hire

Pay Rate: DOE, ($12.00 - $14.00)

Shift/Hours: 9am to 5:30pm, must be fleixble to change schedule as needed

Note: Candidates for this position must be able to pass a Drug Screen and Criminal Background Check

Type of Machine: 50mm Extruder

Daily Responsibilities

Prior to running Extruder:

• Assembling screw designs and putting it back in the extruder
• Calibrating feeders
• Clean pelletizer and Swako classifier and product vacuum loader
• Clean feeders and resin vacuum loader
• Counting materials used
• Disassembling screws and cleaning elements
• Cleaning the burn-our oven prior to use (after 3-4 use cycles)

During a Run:

• Start, and run until a steady state condition is established
• Record process conditions at least once per day
• Save 2-3lbs sample from each Gaylord, and label
• Restock materials
• Make pellet blends as needed

Perodic Cleaning on the 50mm:

•  
• Clean motor filter
• Check oil levels
• Check water connections and air connections
• Clean around the extruder frame and floor underneath it as well.

Cleaning Responsibilities:

• Keep work area clean and free of clutter.
• Returning all tools and equipment
• Fill out material transaction form when putting away into rack location
• Crush cardboard and prepare for recycling

Job Requirements

Minimum 1 year of prior experience operating extruder(s) in a similar industry
