Major Job Responsibilities:

The Field Operations Technician (FOT) shall be responsible for maintaining all Digital Content Network (DCN) issues within their assigned DMA regions(s). The DCN maintenance shall consist of all hardware and software support as directed by the corporate office.

• The FOT shall assist in the day to day operations of the Network Operations Dept.

• Interface closely with Support Staff, NCC, Senior Network Engineers, Project Management and local Theater Staff to support our network.

• Create, document and oversee issues in the field using our trouble ticketing system.

• Setup, test and analyze our advertising software and client / server hardware systems inside of our theater environments.

• Evaluate and maintain our digital projectors & plasmas using our standard quality assurance procedures.

• Plan, schedule and coordinate quarterly maintenance projects for assigned theaters.

• Oversee design and implementation of new theater installations.

• Requires originality and sound judgment to make independent technical decisions.

Job Requirements

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3 years of computer networking and customer service experience.

• Must have valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

• Working knowledge of routers, hubs, switches, protocols, TCP/IP and misc. electronic hardware

• Working experience with MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook & Internet Explorer) and Visio.

• Thorough understanding of Microsoft Windows 2000/XP operating systems.

• Mechanically inclined individual who can work with minimal supervision.

• Knowledge of cabling (network and electrical) including cable management

• Knowledge of 802.11 WiFi equipment; knowledge of Cisco Routers and Switches

• Willing to work effectively and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

• Technicians must be able to drive distances of up to 200 miles per day to support their broad geographic region.

• Travel distances and certain business needs may require occasional overnight stay.

• Willing and able to work in a team environment

• Strong communication and organizational skills.

• Ability to lift 50 lbs. is required

• Willingness to travel is essential to the position.

• After hours work and on-call are essential to the position.

• Existing CompTIA Network+ Certification or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire.
