Field Service Technician
About Us:
Farmer Bros. Co. was founded in 1912 when Roy E. Farmer began making home deliveries of coffee in Los Angeles, California. As Roy’s business grew, including deliveries to restaurants and other institutional accounts, his brother Frank joined the company. Roy and Frank expanded their business by providing the finest coffees and service to the food service industry.
That philosophy continued when Roy’s son, Roy F. Farmer became the President and Chairman of the Board in 1951. Roy F. Farmer continued to increase distribution and expand the route sales system that currently covers twenty-nine states.
Field Service Technician Summary
In this role, the Service Technician will perform service and installation of coffee brewing and beverage equipment for designated customer base. Technician is responsible for vehicle parts inventory, service call closure and specific documentation of work assignments and time.
Responsibilities of Field Service Technician Includes
- Services and installs specified coffee and beverage dispensing equipment in designated regional geography. Performs scheduled and unscheduled service activities including emergency service calls, preventative maintenance, surveys and installations.
- Technicians are required to participate in "On Call" service including after hours and weekend schedule rotation.
- Maintain spare part levels and reorders within replenishment guidelines.
- Must follow all company safety mandates, policies and required monthly safety meetings.
Job Requirements
Field Service Technician
Requirements for Field Service Technician:
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum of 3 of technical experience
- Electrical and plumbing experience preferred
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Good customer service skills
- Ability to problem solve equipment issues
