Detection Logic, a UTC Fire and Security Company is a premier independent fire life protection service provider specializing in single-sourced, full-service solutions for large scale commercial and institutional system requirements. Our company was founded in 1995, and has grown rapidly to become one of the largest independent fire alarm contractors in the United States.

Our location in Glendale, AZ is seeking a Field Superintendent.

Responsibilities:
-The position of Field Superintendent involves performing all aspects of installation and servicing fire alarms.
-Ability to perform all duties of all lower level technicians in their absence-Work well with minimal supervision
-Troubleshoot fire alarm systems with minimal supervision
-Provide Training for Entry Level Technicians
-Complete work orders and submit to manager for approval
-Provide technical support on and off hours
-Respond to emergency service calls
-Work under direct supervision and be responsible for work completion
-Understand and follow company policy and procedures
-Assists technician in the field as needed and directed
-Must follow safety guidelines at all times
-Represent the company by being supportive, presentable, showing courtesy and respect towards management, fellow employees, company overall and clients.


Job Requirements

High School diploma or equivalent. Must be Certified/Licensed to service Vehicle-Mounted Fire Suppression Systems
-Ideal Candidate should have experience of various suppression manufactures including Ansul, Fike, Fenwal, Kidde, and Amerx
-Must be willing to work in various rural areas around the state of Arizona
-High-level programming skills
-High level of knowledge of the sequence of operations of fire alarm systems
-Understanding of NFPA Standards and Local Jurisdiction Requirements
-Ability to recognize electronic components in both burglar and fire alarm systems and fire alarm basics
-Understand digital communicators
-Computer literate
-Ability to work flexible schedule
-Ability to lift at least 50lbs
-Must have an Arizona Drivers License and good driving record if required to drive
-Ability to perform and use hand tools
-Able to work on ladders, comfortable with the use of hand tools. Twisting, kneeling and squatting is required
-Ability to handle and move objects - using hands and arms in handling, installing, positioning and moving materials and manipulating things.
-Dependable and punctual
-Good written and communication skills
