Job Description

Job Summary:
Reviews, analyzes, and evaluates business processes and user needs. Documents requirements, defines scope and objectives, and is responsible for process flow in their functional areas in support of overall business strategies. This role will require communication skills along with ability to work with various clients and client processes in a cross-functional team environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Elicit requirements using interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, surveys, site visits, business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, business analysis, and workflow analysis.
  • Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, decompose high-level information into detailed requirements, abstract up from low-level information to a general understanding, and distinguish user requests from the underlying true needs.
  • Proactively communicate and collaborate with external and internal customers to analyze information needs and functional requirements to deliver business requirement documents, use cases, etc.
  • Perform the necessary assessment and triage of business requests. Successfully engage in multiple initiatives simultaneously
  • Works independently and with clients to define concepts and processes for efficient utilization of technology.
  • Drive and challenge business units on their assumptions of how they will successfully execute their plans.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group, executives, managers, and subject matter experts.
  • Makes use of and contributes to the continued development of standard specification and process templates using natural business terms and nomenclature.
  • Be the liaison between the business units, technology teams and support teams.

    Minimal Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent relevant work experience
  • Minimum 4 years of relevant experience
  • Strong communication, analytical, problem solving, and troubleshooting skills
  • Strong strategic skills with ability and vision to map out “as is” and “to be” business processes
  • Demonstrated ability to influence and foster collaborative relationships
  • Ability to use tools such as Microsoft Visio and Microsoft Project
  • Exposure to Business Analysis Body of Knowledge process mapping techniques and standards.
  • Experience in the following Engineering Systems and IT Technologies would be a plus:
    o NX
    o Teamcenter Enterprise, Engineering and/or Unified Architecture
    o Master Data Management Methodology
    o Change Management Processes
