Job Description
This job is located in Jackson, Wyoming
You are expected to adhere to the company's mission, vision and value statements. You have specific responsibilities within these areas and are expected to understand them. Responsible for helping to maintain grounds areas. Supplies wood to all locations.
SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
You must be committed to superior guest service and quality standards. As a team member of your department you plays key role ensuring the team's success and achievement of meeting and exceeding our guests' expectations. Our goal is to receive a minimum of 88% on our guest comment scores.
- Cares for lawns & other plantings at all locations including: mowing, trimming, and raking of leaves, watering, weeding, and planting of flower beds, bushes and trees.
- Cuts, splits, and transports wood.
As part of this mission you are responsible for carrying out our core environmental values: promote renewable energy, reduction of waste, protection of wildlife habitat, and environmental education. You should strive to preserve, protect and inspire your team members and our guests to join in this effort.
- Repairs and maintains sprinkler systems to ensure proper operation and maximize water efficiency
- Supports trash clean up and litter prevention
- Assists in recycling operations as requested.
Health and Safety
You are responsible for working in a safe and healthy manner. You must be knowledgeable of the company's work safe policies and procedures.
- Repairs and maintains mowers, trimmers, and other equipment to ensure safe and proper operation.
- Observes all requirements for the GTLC Hazard Communication Program
- Attends training and observes all applicable OSHA and other regulatory compliance programs and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) as required by human resources and the EH&S office. Programs include, but not limited to; respiratory protection, bloodborne pathogens, personal protective equipment (PPE), hearing conservation, lockout-tagout, spill prevention, control, and countenneasure plan, drivers safety, and general proper operation of machinery and equipment.
NPS / Community Relations
You must be committed to working in partnership with the National Park Service and community organizations to enhance our guests' experiences. Our goal is to receive only fours and fives on the five point rating scale used by NPS.
General\ Shovels or moves snow as necessary.
- Builds fences, log barriers and railings.
- Assists on construction projects to clean up and/or perform preparation work.
- Takes down and puts up stone shields, windows and sign covers.
- Every maintenance department staff member will be assigned other technical work within the department when maintenance crisis occur with the company or work in their particular technical field is temporarily or permanently reduced. This job summary is intended as a guide, it is not an all inclusive job description.
- Must clean up your job site and work area when finished with the assigned task.
- Other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
- Must be able to work with minimal supervision and carry out instructions without continual supervision.
- Must be physically capable of carrying out routine grounds work; capable of lifting loads up to 100 pounds on a daily basis.
- Must have some knowledge of landscaping & horticulture.
- Experience with tools, plumbing, small engines and/or gardening very helpful.
- Must have valid driver's license.
