MTA NYC Transit is looking to hire Provisional Heavy Equipment / Industrial Mechanics

The starting salary is: $25.9025 per hour for a 40-hour work week, PLUS night and weekend pay differentials.
You will maintain and repair mobile and fixed electromechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment, including machine shop equipment, in NYC Transit bus depots.
Job Requirements
Three years of full-time satisfactory journey-level (fully trained mechanic) experience performing the maintenance and repair of heavy equipment typically used in construction or in industrial facilities, such as cranes, pneumatic compressors, hydraulic pumps and lifts, drills, pile drivers, pay loaders, earthmovers, tractors, gasoline and diesel engines, hi-los, forklifts, jacks, conveyors, generators, and pressure washers.
For the above journey-level experience to be credited, it must be preceded by one of the following: (1) two years of helper/trainee experience as listed above; or (2) graduation from a vocational high school, or a post-secondary trade or technical school, or college with a major in the electrical or mechanical fields.
Driver License Requirement: You must have either:
1. A Class B Commercial Driver License valid in the State of New York and no restrictions; or
2. A motor vehicle driver license valid in the State of New York and a Learner Permit for a Class B Commercial Driver License with no restrictions.
