Job: Histology - Pathology
Organization: San Angelo Community Center
Shift: Day Shift
Forecasted paid hours per shift: 8
Forecasted hours per pay week: 40
Under the general technical supervision of the pathologist, , the Histology Technician is responsible for processing and preparing slides from tissue and fluids, performing special stains and assisting the pathologist during gross and frozen sections.
Job Requirements
EDUCATION/LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/SKILLS REQUIRED:Associate degree and / or HT(ASCP). May be MLT (ASCP), CLT(NCA), or equivalent certification or registration.Absolute integrity in performing tasks with rigid accuracy in identifying and reporting numbers, names, and results. EXPERIENCE PREFERRED:Experience preferred in Histology (1-2 years)
