Human Resources Generalist for Argosy University/Honolulu
Summary: Responsible for the transactional functions of the Human Resources Department and serves as an interface between Human Resources, other departments and Campus Support (corporate) in Chicago, IL. Responsible for the day to day functions of Human Resources and special projects as assigned. Incumbent must assure that the EDMC philosophy: quality services to clients; development, growth, involvement, and recognition of employees; sound economic principles; and environment which is conducive to innovation, positive thinking and expansion - is considered in carrying out the duties and responsibilities of this position.
Job Requirements
Requirements: Candidate must possess a Bachelors degree. Certification is preferred, though not required. Three to five years experience in Human Resources or related field preferably in a post secondary education environment or other field with large employee base and strong external customer service requirements (e.g. health care, retail, financial or mortgage services, etc.). Previous payroll/detail oriented administrative experience helpful.
Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills; strong interpersonal skills with both faculty and staff population; superior organization, prioritization, and self-motivation skills; and strong computer literacy skills with the MS Office suite as well as HRIS applications.
Abilities: Ability to interact effectively as a member of a team and work collaboratively with other departments; ability to listen to customers (e.g. students, staff, etc.) and to understand and respond positively to their requests; ability to work without close supervision and to set ones own priorities and work schedule; and ability to manage multiple tasks and successfully meet deadlines.
