Job Description
Reporting to the VP, HR Global Business Services this position provides overall leadership and strategic direction for the Human Resource function across the Production Solutions group of companies. Production Solutions is a new business segment within John Crane Americas with high growth potential both organically and through acquisition over the next few years. This position, although based in Midland, Texas will require a high level of travel (25%) over the next two years due to the growth and acquisition activity.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for driving the HR operating model through the companies in North America.
Focused on increasing strategic value of HR to the business.
The operating model will focus on utilization of John Crane Americas shared services organization and best practice sharing across the group of companies.
Leads the HR function in support of business strategy, including acquisition due diligence and integration as well as business expansions, restructuring and relocations.
In conjunction with John Crane VP, HR Global Business Services, responsible for development of HR Talent within the companies, including assessment, selection, coaching, mentoring, focused on service to the businesses operating in the region.
Monitor competitiveness and design changes to maintain competitive compensation and benefit schemes, again utilizing the John Crane Americas centers of excellence in these areas.
Sets 2-3 year objectives to support the achievement of the Production Solution strategic plan for HR.
Insure succession planning & targeted development plans are implemented and followed for the senior leadership teams.
Support John Crane Americas talent management process and programs.
Responsible for HR Metrics in the business.
Ensure legal compliance as it relates to employment in all countries in which they operate.
Support safe workplace cultures and Smiths EH&S requirements.
As a member of the Production Solutions leadership team, participate in the key planning activities of the organization. Give and receive counsel from other members of the Senior Management team.
View the business needs of the group holistically, rather than focusing only on the activities of the any individual business or function.
Job Requirements
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
Business Degree with 8-10 years Human Resource experience, MBA strongly preferred.
Experience as an HR leader in supporting multi-site/multi-country business operations.
Experience in Acquisitions & Mergers, from due diligence to integration.
Ability to clearly communicate and influence, verbally and written.
Ability to interact effectively with and motivate professional, managerial and direct labor personnel.
Strategic business acumen and planning ability.
