We have an excellent opportunity for a Human Resources Manager at our Auburn, Washington manufacturing facility.
The purpose of this position is to provide overall management, direction, planning and control of the Human Resources function at the Auburn plant location. The successful candidate must be able to work autonomously as they will be the top Human Resources person at this location. This position will provide assistance as required with divisional projects. Functional responsibilities include Safety, Security, Recruiting, Training, Union Prevention, Affirmative Action (Employment), Compensation, Benefits, Payroll, and Employee Relations. Assist other company operations, when appropriate and provide support as needed for the Distribution Centers located in the Western region.
In this position, the successful candidate will be responsible to:
Ensure that the Auburn facility complies with all OSHA regulations, and ensure that safety of employees takes priority. Manage and represent the plant in workers' compensation and unemployment insurance matters.
Support training initiatives to enhance and improve overall performance of employees. Responsible for strategic planning and development of employees at the Auburn plant with regard to recruiting, hiring, and retaining employees.
Manage a formal program to insure a union-free environment. Direct the development and administration of programs for employee communications and for promotion of community relations.
Ensure that the principles of Affirmative Action and EEO are practiced throughout the organization to comply with our legal obligations.
Develop and implement on-going programs to enhance positive employee relations.
Responsible for developing and proposing a competitive annual compensation and pay program while remaining within budgetary guidelines. Supervise the administration of employee welfare and retirement plans for the Auburn plant employees.
Administer the wage and salary program for all salaried employees at the Auburn plant.
Manage the Human Resources Department to insure efficient, quality contribution to plant/divisional objectives.
Assist in Divisional/Corporate HR matters of priority such as Distribution Center and new plant expansion, as well as recruitment of personnel in other locations. Provide leadership and guidance for human resources personnel throughout the company.
Responsible for all disciplinary actions on employees in violation of Company policies and operating practices.
Responsible for the department's operating procedures, record systems, and the preparation of periodic reports and summaries to keep Management apprised of activities.

Job Requirements
* Bachelor's degree required.
Four to six years of generalist experience required, to include personnel administration, benefits, compensation, employee relations and administering safety programs.
Minimum two years supervisory experience required.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as legal documents, compliance documents, standard operating procedures, and industry publications.
Ability to effectively communicate through written documents, reports, proposals and routine correspondence to external and internal personnel.
Ability to effectively speak before all levels of management and groups of employees.
Professional Human Resources Certification (PHRC) preferred.
