Position Description:
Securities Lending is growing their End User Computing / Strats group by one. We are a global group with members in London and New York, supporting trading desks in Hong Kong, Tokyo, Frankfurt, New York and London. The Securities Lending EUC/ Strats group is a very flexible and motivated group that works on a variety of projects related to understanding current market conditions or defining new trading ideas.
The main responsibilities of the role include:
data analysis
support / create time series data
work with traders to define new ideas, proposals, and projects
work with IT to understand the data they control and also hand off projects that need to be institutionalized
Skills Required:
Technical Skills
Required: SQL (Sybase), C# in a Visual Studio environment, Perl, basic statistics, Excel
Desired: Crystal Reports, Business Objects, MS Access, ksh, MATLAB, SciPy
Other skills:
excellent communication skills
problem or project ownership
use of initiative and proactive approach to work
experience working in a fast paced changing environment
quick learner â€" able to pick up and run with many applications, data sources and technologies
Self-starter with good interpersonal skills to facilitate working with end-users and other IT colleagues.
1-3 years of financial experience either in technology or on a trading floor
