INSIDE SALES PERSON TO JOIN THE TEAM!

SHAKE& SHINGLE is a distributor of building materials in the United States selling residential and commercial roofing products.

SHAKE & SHINGLE is seeking an experienced Building Material Inside Salesperson for the Colorado Springs market.

This position offers competitive wages, health, dental, life, disability insurance and a 401k plan.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

Responsible to the Branch Manager, this position services area choice contractors either on the phone or at the sales counter. Successful candidate must be a self-motivated team player with strong communication skills and a strong commitment to customer service requirements. Will coordinate closely with our Outside Sales force and with drivers and warehouse personnel to meet our customers’ needs in a timely and efficient manner. Prior experience selling roofing and other building materials to contractors is required.

Successful candidate will have demonstrated experience and success:

• Selling building materials to a choice customer base.
• Assisting walk-in customers with building product purchasing needs
• Handling incoming calls from area customers
• Developing new sales opportunities through calls to potential new customers over the telephone.
• Entering sales orders and cash transactions into company software
• Assisting warehouse personnel in loading and unloading trucks using forklift

THIS POSITION IS NOT OPEN TO WALK IN APPLICATIONS YET, WE ARE LOOKING FOR AN EXPERIENCED  AND COMPUTER LITERATE INSIDE SALES PERSON TO JOIN THE STAFF.  INTERVIEWS WILL BE SCHEDULED WITH THE BRANCH MANAGER IF YOU MEET THE QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE POSITION. 

 Interviews will be scheduled with the hiring manager at the Colorado Springs location! 

              WE ARE LOOKING FOR "A" TEAM PLAYERS!               

Job Requirements

This position requires the following experience and skillset:

• Building material sales and customer service experience
• Experience operating forklift
• Computer operation and data input including use of MS Office, Internet and Outlook programs
• Sense of personal responsibility – self-starter
• Valid state issued driver’s license.
• You must be legally entitled to work in the United States
• You must be able to pass a company required drug test.
• You must be dependable and have a good prior work record.
• You must be a high school graduate or have a GED. College is a plus.
• You must be able to read, speak and write the English language to communicate with  vendors, customers and other branch employees.
• Ability to speak Spanish a plus, but not required.
