Job Description
In this challenging position, you will provide analyses of operational environments and the effectiveness of system performance in those environments for the Ground Element MEECN System program. This position requires an individual who can provide feedback to system designers, manufacturers, and logisticians on the performance of and requirements for improving performance in the operational environment; and evaluate proposed solutions for reliability, maintainability, supportability, and functionality. You will define Information Assurance (IA) requirements, conduct IA risk and threat analyses, incorporate IA into system architectures, develop acquisition and engineering IA strategies, assess IA design proposals and functional analyses, plan IA testing, ensure systems are accreditable, and achieve IA certification and accreditation. You will edit and develop security documents as necessary, and coordinate IA activities with program management, engineering, logistics, configuration management, test and various security entities.
Job Requirements
BS degree and 10 years experience; MS and 8 years experience; PhD and 4 years experience.
A secret clearance is required.
Travel of up to 1 week a month may be required.
Must be able to prepare criteria, analyses, specifications, cost estimates, and technical reports; develop and apply engineering techniques and procedures to analyze and evaluate work issues.
Must have knowledge of and experience with national, DoD and AF Information Assurance (IA) policies and regulations, Defense Information Assurance Certification and Accreditation Process (DIACAP), Security Technical Implementation Guides and Enterprise Information Technology Data Repository (EITDR) and experience with information networks and architectures, related hardware and software, operating systems and communications systems.
CISSP or other security certification highly desired.
