Job Description

International Sales Manager

Sogistics Corp. represents this international provider of coal, coke and petroleum coke.  In business for over 50 years, the company has established long-term relationships with all of the major iron and steel producers in North America and is recognized by these companies as the leader in providing a steady source of markets for their by-product coke.  They are differentiated from the competition by anticipating their customers’ needs and going above and beyond relative to customer service.

This company has built a foundation for continued growth and prosperity and in particular, sees a real opportunity to expand their International business.  They are looking for someone who understands the nuances of working with international clients and is highly effective at creating and developing new business.  The right person will also fit into their culture of superior customer service & reliability.  This is a perfect opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment. 


Responsibilities:

  • Increasing revenues by proactively maintaining relationships with all existing export customers and developing additional business by identifying & creating new opportunities within these established channels. 
  • Develop a strong understanding of each customer’s requirements at both the purchasing and operating level.
  • Prompt communication of all inquiries so that the company is the first to secure tonnage from the producer.
  • Maintain a database of customers and their requirements, which will be used to help develop annual budgets.


Job Requirements

Requirements:

  • 5-7 years of International Sales experience preferably in a related field.  This person has to have a strong understanding of the challenges and logistics that come with doing business internationally.
  • Strong sense of urgency.
  • Able to work independently and make decisions while also maintaining good communications with the rest of the team and pulling in management when necessary.
  • A proven track record of meeting and/or exceeding performance objectives
  • Good communication (written & oral) and presentation skills
