Job Description
JOB PURPOSE:
The Strategy Analyst Contractor will facilitate the enhancement of Rent-A-Center's corporate intranet. Services are required that will identify intranet enhancement opportunities, ensure that the opportunities align with RAC's Intranet guiding principles, facilitate the prioritization of the opportunities and manage the implementation of the enhancements. The ideal temporary contractor must have proven experience leading corporate intranet enhancement initiatives, posses solid business acumen, the ability to effectively lead all phases of the project lifecycle, (the ability to define a project, develop appropriate work plans, and drive it to completion), expert analytical ability, and strong communication/interpersonal skills with an ability to interact effectively at all levels of the organization. As an independent contractor the person will determine the means and the methods of accomplishing the end result.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Create a robust cost-benefit analysis on the Corporate Intranet enhancement
- Conduct stakeholder work sessions to identify enhancement opportunities
- Provide guidance and support to Executive/Business sponsor on ensuring alignment to corporate intranet guiding principles
- Create structured project plans and ensure the successful execution of steps outlined in the plans
- Facilitate meetings with business partners
- Write proposals and business cases in support of the business community
- Lead workflow analysis in support of requirements identification
- Capture, analyze and document business user requirements
- Maintain updated documentation on business processes, applications and business solutions
- Participate in the creation of user documentation and manuals, training materials and/or job aids
- Create the necessary documentation for each phase of the project lifecycle and ensure documentation is kept up-to-date
Job Requirements
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree
- Proven experience leading the implementation and/or enhancement of Corporate Intranets
- Four to six years progressive business analysis and project management experience supporting corporate level projects
- Capable of working with effectively at all levels of the organization, in addition to different functions of the business (e.g. business vs. technology)
- Effective use of business assessment tools such as feasibility studies, business cases and cost/benefit analysis, project sizing and costing and current state analysis/needs assessments
- Experienced and skilled user of office productivity tools such as Project, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint and Project Server
- Clear and effective writing and documentation skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Able to multi-task with great time management and prioritization skills
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Able to be proactive and a demonstrated leader
- Must be self motivated, independent and resourceful
- Capable of being objective and giving/taking constructive feedback
- Strong presentation skills
