Inventory Planner
We are a wholesale distributor of select automotive parts headquartered in Dallas, Texas with approximately 5,000 SKU’s over five product lines. Due to rapid growth, we have an immediate opening for an experienced Inventory Planner.
Working with internal and external market intelligence, the Inventory Planner will be responsible for forecasting product demand, insuring inventory levels to meet customer needs, and developing relationships with both domestic customers and international suppliers. The forecasting analysis requires daily detail analysis, with root cause and corrective action proposals for variances. In addition, the Inventory Planner will be responsible for assisting our suppliers with their planning needs. To accomplish these tasks, the Inventory Planner will be required to design, develop, and maintain the successful forecasting tools.
Specific duties and tasks include:
· Develop forecasting techniques for product demand using a combination of market intelligence, including company sales history, customer sales records, and sales projections.
· Insure adequate inventory is available at all times to meet the needs and service levels of our customers.
· Manage company inventory levels to achieve target turns.
· Assist suppliers to insure their inventory levels are adequate to meet our service needs and reduce overall lead times.
· Develop communication process to update senior management on a regular basis.
Salary is commensurate with experience. Some domestic and/or international travel may be required, less than 10%.

Job Requirements
Experience developing a Planning template
Expert level with Excel and Access software
Minimum 3 years experience in Inventory Planning
Experience with MRP systems
Aggressive self starter
Ability to multi task
