Associate IS Support Technician / Help Desk Analyst
 
Parsons is currently conducting a search for an Associate IS Support Technician to join our team in San Antonio TX.
 
 
The Help Desk Specialist is the main point of contact for all IT hardware and software support for end users. This includes local, remote, and traveling users who are part of the wide area network.  The specialist provides phone and in-person support to users for end user computing devices, email, LAN/WAN, standard desktop images and applications, COTS and GOTS applications, printer and telecommunication issues.
 
 Key Duties:
  •           First line of communication to all end user incidents and requests regarding IT   
  •           Troubleshoot all IT related problems, including access, passwords, software, computers, peripherals..etc
  •           Resolve or assign to the next level of support
  •           Maintain inventory to include acquisition and disposal of acquired equipment and software.

  • Job Requirements

    Required Skills & Experience:
     
  • Associate Degree in Computer Science or Information Technology / Microsoft Professional Engineer Certification or applicable work experience and In depth knowledge of Service/Help Desk support role
  • Superior troubleshooting ability with a high aptitude for problem solving
  • Strong written and oral communications and customer service skills
  • Demonstrated experience with distributed file systems, storage arrays, replication and virtualization technologies, volume and file system management products and backup solutions
  • Ability to support installation and operation of common business applications such as MS Office, MS Outlook, AutoCAD 2007 Lite, Adobe Acrobat 7 Professional, Adobe Acrobat 8 Standard, McAfee Total Protection, SureTrak, MaxView, OmniPage, PaperPort, Image Retriever and other software program as specified
  • A minimum of two (2) years of Help/Service desk work experience including working knowledge of
  • o       Microsoft 2000x Windows Family of Operating System Software
    o       Cisco VPN Client Configuration
    o       Internet Explorer 
    o       Ethernet client configuration
    o       TCP/IP client configuration
    o       DHCP client configuration
    o       Printer Configuration/Installations
  • Proof of US citizenship is required
  •  
    ** MCSE (MS Certified Engineer) preferred
