PureSafety has an immediate opening for a Lead Business Analyst at our corporate headquarters in Nashville, TN. This is an exciting opportunity to be a part of a fast-paced, efficient, and conscientious analytical team. The analyst will help maintain, align, and integrate a suite handling occupational health and electronic medical records management with the industry’s first learning and safety management system. The opportunity will allow the desired candidate to put his or her “stamp" on a solution for years to come.

The successful candidate will apply his natural intellectual curiosity to design and document a world-class product. Moreover, the candidate must be able to communicate with technical and non-technical people effectively. The desired analyst will be responsible for daily operational requirements development activities, e.g., requirements development, change control, etc.

As a Business Analyst, you will be responsible for, but not limited to the following:

  • Learning and adhering to internally established writing and design style guides;
  • Coordinating and supporting all facets of the application development lifecycle:
  • Gather various types of requirements (e.g., business requirements, business rules, functional specifications)
  • Independently research certain concepts, business areas, and functionalities
  • Select and interview the best people to understand, document, and prioritize business requirements
  • Design the requirements in a way that tells a story
  • Communicate business objectives and requirements to both onsite and offshore development team clearly and effectively
  • Create wireframes/mockups to convey concept
  • Communicate and review UI designs with UI designers and developers
  • Create use cases, activity/flow diagrams, and develop complete and accurate business process modeling
  • Constantly coordinate how change affects the renovation of requirements and design
  • Verify code/functionality delivered by the development team against the specified functional/non-functional requirements, business rules, and user interface
  • Contribute to development of user guides, release notes, Help
  • Lead by example by providing quality in analysis and design
  • Proofread, validate, and analyze other team members’ work
  • Be able to receive critical feedback
  • Assure that other team members adhere to sound writing and use of internally established writing and design style guides
  • Contribute to setting and meeting weekly priorities
  • Constantly communicate with management on priorities
  • Flexible in establishing processes and able to spot when to change own process as needed
  • Question and defend analysis and design to various interests
  • See where the team is today and where it should be
  • See where the product is today and where it should be


Job Requirements

As a Lead Business Analyst, you have:

  • Desire to “figure things out" on your own

  • Desire to document

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple activities and objectives efficiently

  • A positive attitude and the willingness to learn

  • Desire to lead focused and concise meetings of any type

  • Excellent understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC)

  • Experience using agile software development methodology

  • A high level of energy and creativity while working independently or as part of a team

  • Desire to check, recheck, test, and retest

  • Possess a Bachelor's degree, at minimum


Additional requirements are a definite plus
:

  • Previous experience with instructional design

  • Previous experience with health and safety tracking

  • Previous experience with medical billing, case management, or medical review

  • Previous experience within provider network
