Merrill Corporation is a leading provider of outsourcing solutions for various complex business communications and information management needs. We are currently recruiting for a Legal Customer Service Project Manager, 2nd Shift, in our New York City location.
This position is the primary liaison between the client and Merrill following the sale of a project. He/She is responsible for all project management activities throughout the lifecycle of the project(s). The PM works closely with the Consulting Organization, Sales Engineers and Sales team on pre-sales establishing specifications and to determine the most appropriate technical approach. The PM will work closely with other Merrill resources and teams (such as Operations and IT) to ensure best practices and solutions are tailored to exceed client expectations.
Duties and Responsibilities include:

Applies technical & tactical expertise in the execution of complex client projects.

Serves as a role model in providing superior service to clients, both internal and external.

Coordinates with the shift manager, staffing and service levels for both in house and off site client work.

Assigns project work.

Coordinates & communicates with internal departments & external vendors work flow & work load.

Serves as a liaison with internal billing department to ensure accurate invoicing of clients.

Participates in client meetings and presentations.

Manages costs & ensures profitability through the job production process.

Consults and advises clients on the workflow or job production process.

Effectively diffuses complex client situations and promotes Merrill as a whole while in the execution of the project.

Serves as the point of contact for multiple client projects.

Works with internal departments on the document preparation.

Ensures project deliverables for client are accurate and timely.

Manages multiple high profile and complex projects.
Job Requirements
- BA or BS Degree, or equivalent – Information Management, Computer Science or Business Administration a plus.
- Understanding of litigation data tools such as Concordance, Opticon, LAW, Ipro, Summation, Introspect, Ringtail, and others a strong plus.
- Minimum of 5 years business experience in a client service / project management environment; preferably in the Legal Services Industry.
- Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to achieve results by pulling together appropriate internal departments and external vendors.
- Ability to effectively manage and negotiate client expectations.
- Demonstrated service orientation with a desire to exceed customer expectations
- Delegates and effectively utilizes support resources.
- Hands on technical experience with standard document and image formats and major database and image base applications such as Oracle, MS-SQL Server, MySQL or equivalent.
