Analysts International is seeking qualified candidates for an outstanding long term Level 3 Technical Support opportunity with a major client in San Antonio, TX.  

Level 3 Technical Support will be responsible for installation and troubleshooting desktop, server, IPtel, LAN and WAN environment at client's San Antonio,Texas facility and surrounding buildings. 

Must be willing to work the following schedule:  First shift during first 1 to 2 months of training (8:00 AM â€" 4:45 PM), 2nd shift after training completes as normal schedule (6:00 PM â€" 2:30 AM). 

Candidates MUST live within 45 minutes of the client's facility in San Antonio.  Initially a 6 month contract, this has the potential to be extended very long term.


Job Requirements

  • Primary responsibility includes break/fix for Plant floor equipment on 2nd shift.

  • Candidate should be able to work under pressure.  Repair and/or replacement of critical Plant floor equipment requires a 15 minute turn-around time.

  • Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, WINS, DHCP, SCCM, Windows XP (after 2-3 months training on 1st shift).

  • Candidate must be able to build, troubleshoot and repair Windows 2000/2003 servers and be familiar with Windows Active Directory. 

  • Understanding and troubleshooting LAN-related problems is a must.  Candidate may be required to install and configure Cisco switches; experience working w/Cisco 6500/3700 switches is preferred. 

  • Candidate will be required to setup and configure desktop and laptop equipment (Toshiba and Dell) with Windows XP. Strong troubleshooting capabilities are required in this area.

  • Telecommunications: Ideal candidate will have experience with administering Cisco IPTel voice system, as well as install and setup of multi-point videoconference equipment and calls.

  • Wi-Fi:  wireless LAN 802.1x at an Enterprise level, LEAP and WEP security.  Looking for experience with both network (access points / authentication) and client / driver troubleshooting.

  • Strong knowledge in installation and configuration of LAN cabling (copper, fiber).  Candidate may be required to run cables and have experience troubleshooting network problems (both fiber & copper).

  • MCSE and other certifications a plus.  Requires the ability to create and manage project activity. Must possess ability to take direction from central office.

  • Candidate must have good communication skills.

  • Candidate must live within 45 minutes from the plant facility.

  • May be required to provide 24 hour on-call coverage.
