Job Requirements
EDUCATION: Graduate from an accredited school of vocational nursing.
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION: Licensed as a LVN in Texas. CPR certification is required.
EQUIPMENT/SKILLS: Successful completion of the medication administration test is required. Must have knowledge of nursing skills and the impact of illness. Must have the physical and mental ability to perform the skills on the skill checklist and the tasks of the position description.
WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Works in a modern, temperature controlled, smoke free facility. Must adjust to frequently changing workloads and frequent interruptions. Constant walking or standing is necessary; requires some physical stamina to lift and move patients. Subject to strained muscles. Exposure to body fluids and infectious disease.
OTHER: Must successfully complete the pre-employment/post job offer health screening and the annual screening each year thereafter as an employee.
