Details:
Equipment:
Diagnose equipment problems & take corrective action to
achieve optimum line efficiency.
Independently set up changeover & repair filling equipment
& packaging lines.
Perform preventive maintenance, repairs, & overhauls on all
equipment.
Diagnose electronic controls, sensors, servos and drives.
Understand other systems that impact line efficiency or
operation.
Documentation & Procedures:
Document equipment preparation, set up, PM & repair in
strict accordance with SOP & GMP requirements.
Complete paperwork for Production & Lab in strict
accordance with SOP & GMP requirements.
Follow site GMP and Safety policies and procedures.
Review equipment status with supervision & recommend
improvements.
Follow & document validation procedures.
Operational Excellence:
Participate in site OE initiatives.
Report PM, changeover, & downtime performance to
supervision & recommend improvements.
Recommend & implement equipment modifications to
increase reliability.
Conduct zero point exercises & root cause failures to
increase efficiency of changeovers, troubleshooting, &
mean time to standard.
Actively standardize & document best practice to
achieve "Right First Time".
Ability to work with outside vendors to recommend
component or equipment modifications.
Job Requirements
Basic qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent required. Technical trade
school certificate a plus.
3+ years related experience repairing packaging equipment
(labeling, carton filling, barcode inspection, ink jet printer).
Required to work overtime to meet company or department
needs & flexibility to change shifts as needed.
Required to work a 12-hour shift pattern.
Preferred qualifications:
Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and repair equipment.
Quality and detail oriented.
Commitment to safety.
Ability to operate in a team environment.
Basic math and communication skills.
Demonstration of positive and reliable work attitude.
Ability and willingness to learn new skills.
Ability to operate electric pallet jack (forklift) to move materials.
Experience with lean manufacturing techniques/principles
are preferable.
