Manager of Employee Concerns opportunity located in Jenkinsville, SC The Shaw Group provides premier engineering, design, construction, and maintenance services to government and private-sector clients in a wide array of industries, including the energy, environmental, infrastructure, and emergency response markets.
POSITION DESCRIPTION & RESPONSIBILITIES The Employee Concerns Manager's principal responsibility is the governance and execution of Employee Concerns Programs for Shaw Nuclear. This individual also investigates, screens, and prioritizes employee concerns and maintains an ECP Concerns database.
Additional job duties include, but are not limited to: � Prepare concern response letters, investigate allegations forwarded by the NRC � Provide training to corporate and site staff on ECP and SCWE. � Administer surveys as required, such as safety culture. � Prepare ECP reports for Shaw Nuclear executive management, up to and including the CEO. � Interface with the Quality Assurance Organization and work with Human Resources. � Plans, organizes and directs the Employee Concerns Program - all processes and disciplines � Has understanding of Management, legal, and business requirements � Provide applicable policy interpretations and procedural recommendations to management � Performs an annual effectiveness review of the Employee Concerns program � Directs Employee Concerns teams through strategic planning and implementation activities � Defines and recommends organizational objectives and plans to ensure compliance � Serves as a point of contact to senior project and organization management and senior Government officials on ongoing Employee Concerns issues � Develops long range strategies in alignment with operational goals and objectives � Develops training strategies and objectives for Project � Apply knowledge of applicable Government Regulations, Statues, Orders, Codes, and Requirements � Manages significant investigations involving Quality, Safety, Health, Environmental, Security, and Reprisal for engaging in protected activities � Supervision on an onsite staff of ECP Investigators.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Candidate must meet the criteria for access to the company�s, partners�, and clients� technologies.
� Bachelors degree or higher (equivalent experience will be subject to assessment by Shaw) � Minimum 10 years of Employee Concerns or equivalent investigative experience � Prefer at least 5 years experience in a government regulated environment (such as DOE, NRC)
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS � Excellent verbal & written communication skills. � Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite � Must be capable of taking a project lead role and comfortable in a fast moving continuous improvement culture. � Nuclear industry experience � Must be able to manage multiple tasks with aggressive deadlines. � Excellent written and oral communication skills � Ability to interpret and apply regulatory requirements to investigative findings � Knowledge of Shaw�s organization structure, functions, and procedures � Knowledge of Employee Concerns policies and practices � Knowledge of Employee Concerns disciplines ( Quality, Safety, Health, Environmental, Security, and Reprisal for engaging in protected activities) � Knowledge of customer�s organization structures, functions and contractual specification applicable to ECP � Knowledge of the projects business strategy, goals and key drivers � Understanding of how Employee concerns supports projects strategy � Recommend solutions to trends in Employee Concerns disciplines working with key personnel � The above is normally acquired through a recognized degree from an accredited college or university, or sufficient number of specialized courses, or equivalent demonstrated experience in an Employee Concerns related discipline or function
GENERAL INFORMATION Position is full-time, salaried-exempt and is located at Shaw�s VC Summer Project in Jenkinsville, SC. Overtime may be required to meet project demands.
