Job Description Responsible for providing direction and management supervision of highly specialized exempt engineering organization providing technical design, implementation, and ongoing support to one specific customer residing in NYC. Regularly interacts with senior management or executive levels on matters concerning several functional areas, divisions and or customers. Requires the ability to resolve or gain acceptance of others in sensitive issues and drive major deliverables for the organization. Ensures budgets, schedules and performance requirements are met. Provides guidance to team members. Assess resource and project workloads to ensure a balanced allocation to meet demands.
Requirements A Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or Business, and 10 years experience managing an engineering organization. Strong background in IP internetworking and IP security across very large enterprise networks and some voice such as Avaya. System integration knowledge of large and complex outsourcing arrangements. Capable of working on complex problems where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of various factors. Ability to exercise judgment within broadly defined practices and policies in selecting methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results. Strong oral and written communication skills required, and good working knowledge with MS Office packages. Excellent customer interface skills required. Proven track record of leadership skills and ability to manage in a matrix environment.
