Job Description
SUMMARY
This position supervises the assembly and test area of an electro-mechanical production site. It provides Lean Manufacturing leadership by analyzing, designing and implementing manufacturing and business process improvements that increase capacity, reduce lead-time, improve production rate and improve process flow and efficiency.
REQUIREMENTS
- BS Degree in Engineering: Electrical, Manufacturing, Industrial or related field
- 5+ years production experience in a fast paced mixed volume production environment
- 3+ years supervision of 15 or more employees
- Understanding of material flow, capacity planning and cycle/lead times
- Process improvement experience (Lean or Six Sigma)
- Computer skills a must
- Excellent communication skills
- Experience with Machine Shop & Shipping/Receiving a plus

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensure execution of daily operations
- Establish goals, standards and objectives
- Establish production metrics and personnel statistics
- Coordinate with other departments to meet OTD and other goals
- Respond to production problems (i.e. root cause/corrective action)
- Communicate with customers, vendors and employees
- Handle scheduling, budgeting and personnel management for department
- Ensure adherence to company policies and work instructions
