Job Description

Major Purpose: Installs, diagnosis, evaluates, maintains & repairs injection molding machine, robots & automation equipment, etc., as well as systems & sub-systems. Responsible for maintaining proper total system process parameters & specificaions for all above mentioned equipment & auxiliary support systems.

Essential Functions: Communicates directly with the department supervisor manager as informaton or needs are required to support the maintenance activities. Invokes the necessary effort to contact suppliers & vendors for technical information or data should the department supervisor or manager be unavailable. Transfers shift information to the incoming senior mechanic or supervisor: through verbal communication, forms, maintenance work orders, computer data entry, or as dictated by the department supervisor. Interfaces with various department supervisors, that aide with the prioritizing of the work orders. Assigns maintenance tasks, at all levels, to team associates. Provides additional training to team associates to enhance their technical skills. Communicates associates performance observations made during the shift to the department manager. Maintains technical and mechanical skills through necessary training.

Job Requirements

Minimum Job Requirements: High School Diploma or equivalent. 5 or more years experience in molding machine and supported applications. Mechanical aptitude with hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical gauges equipment. Good communicaion skills; Special skills: Read & interpret diagrams, manuals, blue prints. Computer literate. Able to work & utilized hand tools as well as power tools. Able to accurately coordinate different shift & process work activity accordingly.
