The Pricing and Forecasting Analyst will be responsible for the following: Conducts analysis and special projects as assigned to advance the retail business objectives. Completes financial analysis in support of marketing initiatives. Support and understand the preparation and communication of the retail electric sales volume, peaks and revenue forecasts for the competitive electric product line. Support and understand development and updating price-to-compare calculators to reflect changes in regulation or tariffs for active and prospective retail markets. Works with the retail electric pricing desk to recommend, prioritize and shepherd IT improvements to the Price Quote Management system. Prepares price quotes for targeted retail customers, working closely with the Sales team and Retail Aggregation and Commodity Costing. Acts as an integral part of the marketing team to support advancement of the competitive business. Participates in process improvement initiatives.
Job Requirements
BA / BS degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics or related discipline preferred or 4 years equivalent work experience. Advanced degree a plus. Must possess strong quantitative and analytical skills. Must have the ability to query and update existing databases. Knowledge of Brio/Hyperion/Cognos and ABP are a plus. Prior experience in forecasting or electric pricing, electric rate tariff interpretation or design, forecasting, analyzing customer load patterns, or financial reporting is beneficial. Ability to efficiently handle multiple assignments. Proficient at data manipulation and analysis. Strong quantitative and analytical skills. Highly proficient with Microsoft Office tools, including Excel, PowerPoint, Access and Word. SAP a plus. SQL programming and Visual Basic a plus. Demonstrate a questioning attitude to continue to learn, produce results, and strengthen existing relationships Ability to develop effective working relationships with employees at all levels of FirstEnergy Corp.
