Job Description
Electrical Engineer PE
We are seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer / Technical Director to work with our Engineering Team in Dallas, TX. The primary focus of this position will be to manage and mentor the local Electrical Engineering Staff and be responsible for coordinating schedules, budgets, staffing, and reporting activities of the group. This position would also be responsible for design and review of engineering projects and coordination of production activities to meet the client schedules.
Typical Project Types:
- Experience in corporate, higher education, healthcare, data centers, high rise hotels, apartments and condominiums up to six stories as well as call centers is desired.
Qualifications:
- Possess a comprehensive knowledge of engineering, materials, construction methodology, building codes and regulations
- Experience in corporate, higher education, healthcare, data centers, high rise hotels, apartments and condominiums up to six stories as well as call centers is desired.
- Possess a thorough knowledge of design and production procedures and processes as well as internal quality assurance processes
- Understanding of the components of construction drawings and specifications and the ability to review documentation prepared by others for compliance with the design intent
- Ability to develop, maintain, and enforce staff to adhere to project fee budgets, schedules and best practices
- Ability to effectively manage people as a group to achieve a common goal.
- Development and maintenance of excellent customer relations
- Projection of an excellent and professional corporate image
- Ability to consistently manage projects in a profitable and efficient manner
- Broad based understanding of CAD, word-processing, project management and spreadsheet software
Job Requirements
Minimum Job Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering
- 8-10 years experience in Electrical Engineering
- 5 years successfully managing an engineering team
- NCEES Licensed Electrical Engineer / PE required, reciprocity OK
