The "A" & “B" Level Technician will perform routine maintenance and repairs on all fleet vehicles and shop equipment and facility. The Technician is required to perform all other duties as required and needed to operate the maintenance department with in reason to their scope of ability or as directed by the Shop Foreman, Maintenance Manager, General Manager .
Mechanic C â€" Salary $ 17.10
We are seeking experienced C-level mechanics to perform preventative maintenance, diagnosis, service and repair of steering, suspension, brakes, engines, transmissions, differentials, electrical, wheelchair lifts, and air conditioning systems. Successful applicants must be able to work safely, perform part analysis on damaged parts and assist in inventory control or other duties as necessary.
Job Requirements
The Technician “A" Level be at least 21 years of age, have a high school diploma or equivalent, obtain the appropriate drivers license required for the fleet, have 4 years experience professional automotive mechanical experience or show reasonable capabilities to perform these duties, have a full set of tools including diagnostic and specialty tools. It is also recommended that the A" Level Technician have or obtain related certifications for the perspective duties. This position also requires the tech to be able to do all mechanical and electrical repairs on vehicles such as engine and transmission replacements, alignments, air conditioning repairs, drivability diagnosis and electrical and wiring problems. In addition the A technician is required to complete all related documents legibly and in a timely manner. These are minimum duties for this position and may be modified by the Maintenance Manager to reflect the specific requirements of the department. Experience with Ford e350 para transit vehicles. 6.0 diesel preferred.
The Technician "B" Level must be a high school graduate or its equivalent, have 2 years of experience in the repair and maintenance of all types of diesel automotive and transit equipment or an equivalent combination of training and experience (Ford e350 para transit vehicles. 6.0 diesel), must have good knowledge of the repair, maintenance, and modifications of diesel powered automotive equipment, including transit vehicles, ability to use all types of auto machinist equipment and tools effectively, familiar with use of repair manuals and parts books,must possess a Drivers License or the ability to obtain one. The position also requires the tech to be able to do all mechanical and electrical repairs on vehicles such as engine and transmission replacements, alignments, air conditioning repairs, with some back ground in drivability diagnosis and electrical repairs. In addition the “B" technician is required to complete all related documents legibly and in a timely manner. These are minimum duties for this position and should be modified by the General Manager to reflect the specific requirements of the department.
The Technician "C" Level must have 2 years or more of automotive/diesel repair experience working on Ford e350 para transit vehicles. 6.0 diesel, must have graduated from an automotive technology course at an accredited trade school or college and have 2 years experience, must be able to work nights and weekends, and must have own tools
