Our Client Seeks:
MEDICAL BILLING SPECIALIST
(Medical Biller)
JOB TITLE: Account Manager (Medical Billing / Orthopedics)
DEPARTMENT: Follow Up
LOCATION: Trumbull, CT.
REPORT TO: Director of Quality
JOB SUMMARY: This position is responsible for accounts receivable collections from various insurance carriers, managing doctor accounts including coding, EOB's, reviews and timely claim reimbursement.
Essential duties & responsibilities:
- Contact insurance companies for status on payments, appeals for no payment on claims
- Review EOB’s and super bill for errors
- Handle customer service issues regarding billing statements
- Review “pre-scrub" claims from Doctor’s office for accuracy
- Create pre-collection list for un-collectible accounts
- Ensure Accounts Receivable for doctors groups are worked to enhance reimbursement

Job Requirements
- Two to four (2-4) years in a healthcare / medical billing environment or related experience
- Knowledge of CPT & ICD Coding
- Ability to interpret EOB’s
