Job Description
Beautiful Magnet Hospital situated in Westchester County seeks an In-Patient Coder. In the spring of 2008 they celebrated their first anniversary of this Magnet designation. Magnet recognition is considered the "gold standard" for measuring quality patient care and nursing excellence. It provides the public with the ultimate benchmark for measuring the level of care they can expect to receive along with the professionalism and expertise of the nursing staff that deliver care.
This position is for a (HIM) In-Patient Coder. The position is Full Time - Days: Monday through Friday 8am-4pm.
- Responsible for timely and accurate coding of all medical records according to coding guidelines.
- Accurately enter the information into the Affinity data system, providing that all diagnosis and procedures are captured.
Job Requirements
- Certified Coding Specialist preferred or 7+ years In-Patient Coder experience equivalent.
- Strong hospital experience.
- Full Benefit Package included for position.
